Hey Cricket Lovers! What an incredible game we had today at NCCA Livermore Cricket Ground between Livermore SuperMonks and All Stars Lions! Although it didn’t end up going our way, we put up a good fight and gave it our all. Let’s break down the highlights of the game:

The game was between Livermore SuperMonks and All Stars Lions on Feb 19th, 2023, at our home ground NCCA Livermore Cricket Ground.

After winning the toss, the SuperMonks elected to bat first and surprised everyone by sending Nakul as the opener!

Rahul A and Nakul made a great start, but Nakul was the first to go. Vinay went in next but didn’t score much, only 3 runs. Adhiraj followed, but despite a good start, he didn’t manage to convert to a big score.

However, new player, Rahul, who was making his debut for the SuperMonks, scored an impressive 46 runs in 42 balls with 3 boundaries and 1 huge six! Ajay also contributed significantly with 38 runs in 29 balls, including 4 boundaries. The SuperMonks ended up with a total score of 155, leaving a target of 156 in 20 overs for the All Stars Lions.

The SuperMonks bowling department didn’t perform well, as the All Stars Lions’ star batsman Waqas Haider scored a whopping 67 runs in just 26 balls, including 7 boundaries and 4 huge sixes! The All Stars Lions ended up chasing the score in just 12.1 overs, finishing with a final score of 158/3.

The player of the match was Waqas Haider for his outstanding performance with the bat.

It wasn’t the SuperMonks’ day at the office, but we’re not going to let one defeat hold us back. We’re determined to learn from our mistakes and come back stronger next game!
